A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ICAR-CTCRI and the Watershed Support Services and Activities Network (WASSAN), Hyderabad, on October 28, 2024. This MoU aims to foster collaborative research on tropical tuber crops to support grassroots-level farmers and other stakeholders within WASSAN's networks. Dr. A. Ravindra, Executive Secretary, and Ms. Bhagyalaxmi, Additional Director, represented WASSAN at the MoU signing event, held in the Golden Jubilee Hall of ICAR-CTCRI. Dr. G. Byju, Director of ICAR-CTCRI, presided over the function, which included presentations on ongoing R&D activities, technologies, and intellectual property rights across various divisions. The presenters included: • Dr. T. Makesh Kumar, Head, Crop Protection • Dr. Suja G., Head, Crop Production • Dr. A. N. Jyothi, Scientist in Charge, Division of Crop Utilization • Dr. J. Sreekumar, Scientist in Charge, Extension and Social Science • Dr. P. Murugesan, Head in Charge, Division of Crop Improvement Dr. G. Jaganathan, Senior Scientist and Member Secretary of the IRC, concluded the event by proposing the vote of thanks.
