ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI) organized a farmers’ training and input distribution under the Scheduled Caste sub-programme at KILA, Mannuthy, Thrissur, on 11.02.2025. Shri. Nizamuddin A. (IAS), Director General of KILA and MGNREGA Mission Director, inaugurated the event, emphasizing farmers' role in national development.
Dr. Mani Chellappan (Dean, CoA, KAU) was the guest of honour. Dr. K. Sunil Kumar (Principal Scientist, CTCRI) explained the program. Felicitations were given by Mr. P.P. Raveendran (President, Panancherry Grama Panchayat), Mr. P.S. Babu (Chairperson, Vikasana Standing Committee), and Dr. P.B. Pushpalatha (Prof. & Head, Retd., Banana Research Station, Kannara).

Dr. K. Sunil Kumar – ‘Clean seed production in sweet potato & elephant foot yam’
Dr. E.R. Harish – ‘Integrated Pest Management in Tuber Crops’
Dr. Rahana S. N. – ‘Improved varieties of tuber crops’
Mr. Satheesan B. – ‘Minisett technique in tuber crops’
Dr. E.R. Harish welcomed the gathering, and Mrs. Remya V. M. (ADA, Ollukkara) proposed the vote of thanks.
