CAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI) and AICRP on PHET jointly organized a hands-on training on value-added products from tuber crops under the SCSP program at Kalanjoor, Pathanamthitta on March 19, 2025. The training focused on enhancing skills in processing and value addition of tuber crops, with practical sessions on preparing high-quality, crispy chips and fried snack foods from cassava, sweet potato, and tannia. The practical demonstration was inaugurated by Ms. T. V. Pushpavalli, President, Kalanjoor Panchayath, in the presence of Mr. Shelly, Agricultural Officer. The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Sajeev M. S., Dr. Sunil, Mr. Shiju, and Mr. Robin Raj, ensuring an enriching learning experience. This initiative is part of ICAR-CTCRI’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, skill development, and entrepreneurial opportunities in tuber crop processing.
