A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ICAR-CTCRI and Government
Engineering College, Barton Hill on 20 th March 2025. This MoU aims to foster research
collaboration on precision farming and AI integrated intensive agriculture for enhancing crop
productivity and system sustainability. Dr. G. Byju, Director ICAR CTCRI and Dr. Shiny,
Principal, Govt. Engineering College, Barton Hill formally exchanged the MoU at the function
held in the Millenium Hall of the institute. In his presidential address, Dr. G. Byju, Director
emphasized the importance of need based research collaboration for addressing the emerging
challenges of climate change affecting sustainable crop production and food security. He also
remarked on the research achievements and inter institutional research collaborations of ICAR
CTCRI with the other R&D centers pan India. Dr.T Makesh Kumar, Head, Division of Crop
Protection welcomed the gathering and Dr. Jeena Mathew, Senior Scientist proposed the vote of
thanks.
