H-165
H-97 is a high yielding hybrid variety of tapioca with medium tall plants(1.5-2 m). Tubers with 27 - 31 percent starch and their avarage Yield is 25-35 T/Ha. Maturity period is 10 months. They are field tolerant to drought conditions as well as to Cassava Mosaic Disease (CMD) . They are also field resistant to leaf spot, spider mite and scale insect.
H-165 is a popular industrial variety of tapioca. It is a high yielding hybrid variety with medium tall ( 1.5 - 2 m) plants. Starch content is 23 - 25% on fresh weight basis. It is easily harvestable with good tuber shape. Duration 8-9 months and average yield is 33- 38 T / Ha. They are field tolerant to CMD, spider mite and scale insect. This variety is suitable for rotation cropping.
H-226
Sree Visakham
H-226 is the most popular industrial variety of Cassava in Tamil Nadu.It is a high yielding hybrid variety with medium tall plants(1.5-2 m). Tubers contain 28 - 30 percent starch and avarage yield is 30-35 T/Ha. Maturity period is 10 months. They are field tolerant to spider mite and scale insect.
Sree Visakham is a high yielding hybrid variety of tapioca with non branching tall (2- 2.5 m) plants. Carotene content in tubers is 466 IU/100 gm. Starch content in fresh tubers 25-27 %. Maturity period is 10 months and avarage yield is 35-38 T/ Ha. They are less susceptible to spider mite and scale insect.
