· Storing Cassava chips up to six monthsin metal bin and fumigating with Aluminium phosphide tablets. 

· Sweet potato tubers can be stored upto 2 1/2 months in fine sand and in earthen pots.

· Colocasia esculenta can be stored upto 30 days in saw dust and sand media. 

· Dioscorea alata and Amorphophallus paeniifoliu s can be stored in fine sand for about six months.

Drying the chips below 9% moisture content and storing in airtight containers or plastic lined gunny bags.Surface treatment of bags containing chips with malathion 0.05%.
