Breaking dormancy in Amorphophallus

Normally Amorphophallus has a dormancy period of 4-5 months. It can be reduced to 1.5 to 2 months by incubating the corms at 40 0 c for 6-9 hours per day for 6 weeks. At platforms of 1 metre height, keep the corms upside down after scooping out the top bud. Coconut husk or firewood can be used to produce the desired heat.
